Netravali Waterfalls
Located deep within the wildlife sanctuary of Netravali, the waterfalls provide a refreshing escape. It is located in the Western Ghats and you are required to take a short hike to reach this water body. The waterfall comes alive during the monsoon season. Kakolem Beach
Enjoy one of the most secluded beaches in South Goa, 31 km from Margao and only 7 km from Cabo De Rama Fort. The beach might be hard to spot but it is well worth the search. The refreshing water and lush green palm trees provide a soothing view. Walk along the beach to spot a small spring that flows down a hill to join the sea. You might be required to hike a little before you get to the beach, proving the journey to this serene place to be quite an adventure.
Betul Beach
Betul Beach offers splendid views of the Arabian Sea as it is nestled amidst towering cliffs. The dramatic landscape provides the perfect backdrop for your photography as it is also located right beside the delta of the Sal River. Enjoy a picnic on this silver-sand beach under the shade of fruit trees that provide a respite from the heat to visitors.
Rivona Caves
The Rivona Caves are ancient rock-cut caves believed to date back to the 6th or 7th century AD. These caves are historically significant as they were once inhabited by Buddhist monks. Inside the caves, visitors can find a "Pitha", a laterite stone carved into a seating arrangement, indicative of the meditative practices that once took place there. The caves also feature small shrines and carvings, reflecting the influence of Buddhism in the region.
